Opening in the 1920’s as Louise’s Garden, a restaurant that would flourish into the most reputable dining establishment in Cleveland. Renamed Johnny’s Bar in 1952, this neighborhood eatery located on Fulton Road served authentic Italian food in an inviting atmosphere with private dining and patio dining available weather permitting. Today the establishment is recognized for it Northern Italian cuisine; classic, upscale décor; and sophisticated clientele.

Johnny’s Downtown was launched in response to the overwhelming success of Johnny’s Bar (its founding restaurant) and the need for an upscale Italian restaurant in the heart of Cleveland. It was established in 1993 in Cleveland’s Warehouse District.
The six large murals in the main dining room create a unique and surreal dining atmosphere. All dishes are created from the finest ingredients. The pastas are homemade and the sauces contain various liquors, creams and spices. Wine is also considered an important part of the dining experience; consequently, the selection is rare, diverse and extensive. Johnny’s Downtown earned the Award of Excellence from the Wine Spectator and a top ranking for fine cuisine in the Zagat Survey Guide.
